The CD4 cells were cultured and  harvested CD4 T-cells were counted for Th17 and Treg percentages using flow cytometry.Interleukin-17 A (IL-17A) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) secretions were measured by ELISA.

At 32 weeks after injection, all mice were assessed for arthritis score, proteinuria level, body weights, adaptive immune system components (Th1, Th2, Th17, and Treg percentages) from the spleen using flow cytometry; pro- inflammatory cytokines and autoantibody production, including IL-6, IFN-α, and ANA from serum using ELISA
